This single man back packing tent was purchased by me some 4 years ago on a whim really. However the item has turned out to be a trusty and heart warming friend. On the occasions that I manage to get out into the countryside on my own to indulge in long walks and sketch etc, the ease of use (in pitching in just minutes) has allowed me to bed down quickly and sometimes just for shelter (UK weather! enough said)allowing me to alter my journey if I wish. Complete freedom in access land etc. At 1.5 kgs not the lightest tent but with a low profile (.70m at its highest) you are pretty safe from the wind. It can also be initially pitched with just 2 stakes. I found this equally effective in 30/40 mph winds. All in all a great tent with the usual TNF hallmarks. Only the lack of height may deter people from what is a more tent orientated bivy.
